WONDERFUL WEAVING

I love weaving with my student. There are so many possibilities and all the kids really love it. This year the younger classes have been working on various paper weaving techniques and the older students have been experimenting with yarn. Here are a few samples.

IN LIKE A LION

I can't believe its March already! To illustrate the phrase "March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb" the Kindergarten classes made these very expressive Lion Paintings with tempera paint. I actually tweeked this idea from one shared by fellow blogger, John Post. Before beginning their paintings students created some quick thumb nail sketches to practice their drawing skills. Final drawings were complete on brown construction paper and we used tempera paint in neutral colors to add color to their drawings.
